Virginia Va uses online videos to brief parents on flu
RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia’s health and education agencies have produced online videos to help inform parents and educators about how to prevent the spread of the H1N1 influenza virus as well as the seasonal flu.
The Virginia Department of Education, in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Health, has released “H1N1 for Parents” and “H1N1 for Educators.” The videos address the highly contagious illness, also known as “swine flu.”
The agencies are asking school divisions to post links to the videos on their Web sites, and are encouraging school officials to e-mail the links to parents and employees.
The videos reiterate that students and employees who feel ill should stay home until they’re fever-free for at least 24 hours.
